In the current Wrestling Observer Newsletter Dave Meltzer reports:“The reason the at one time talked about Brood Edge vs. Demon Balor Hell in a Cell match at the Rumble didn’t happen is because Edge was filming a television show until this past week and thus couldn’t do the WWE television to build up the match.”

However, it’s not just Edge that’s planned for the Elimintation Chamber Premium Event in February. Again, as of November, the tentative plan was for Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix, will participate in the Montreal event, teaming up with Edge to take on Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor..

Beth is scheduled to be at the Rumble but WWE Sources have not indicated if she will be in the Women’s Rumble match or if she’ll just be backstage. There has been talk about Beth wrestling again. As of last month, there were plans penciled in for Beth Phoenix and Edge to team up against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley for a Mixed Tag Team Match at the Elimination Chamber show in Montreal.
