6 New Company Records Announced By Triple H After Successful WWE SummerSlam 2023

The greatest gate for a non-WrestleMania event ever, SummerSlam drew a record gate of $8.5 million, according to the press release. Additionally, according to WWE, it was the most-watched SummerSlam in company history and had one of the top three Peacock viewers ever.

Triple H made the big announcement on Twitter too stating, “ Biggest (EVER) Party of the Summer… Incredibly proud of these new company records across the board. Thank you to Detroit and to the @WWEUniverse across the globe who tuned in and made this year’s #SummerSlam a historic one.”

Additionally, SummerSlam 2023 garnered $7 million in sponsorship revenue, the biggest ever for a non-WrestleMania event. Among the sponsors of the programme were Slim Jim®, C4, and Rocket Mortgage. Additionally, compared to the record set in 2021, merchandise sales increased by 60%. Due to this, SummerSlam had the best performance of any premium live show that wasn’t WrestleMania in company history.

Additionally, WWE reported that On Location packages were up 47% from 2022, which means they also broke a SummerSlam record. With over 230 million views and four million hours of video watched, SummerSlam became the most watched social SummerSlam of all time. Over the previous year, these figures increased by 26%.
