Tim initiated his football goals in 1987 when he started playing for DJK Dürscheid. He eventually moved to Fortuna Köln and debuted in the Regionalliga in 2000. Following that year, talent scouts from FC Kaiserslautern spotted Weise. The youngster made a reputation for being a goalkeeper and stuck to that post since 2002.
Tim Weise moved from Kaiserslautern to Werder Bremen and finally to 1899 Hoffenheim. The veteran footballer had loads of experience backing his selection for the 2010 World Cup but he didn’t play a single game. It got worse for Weise when he was made captain for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga season 2012-13 but his run was marred with poor performance, injuries and controversies.

The goalkeeper was released in 2014 after which he made a shocking career change. In September, Tim Wiese revealed he had been offered a contract by WWE. His first appearance in WWE was in a non-wrestling capacity as he became the guest timekeeper for a house show in Frankfurt. Later, it was disclosed that the bodybuilder was training at the Performance Centre to be wrestling-ready.

He teamed with Sheamus and Cesaro to defeat The Shining Stars and Bo Dallas. It was the first and only wrestling match for ‘The Machine’ before he was let go by WWE in 2017. Although the 6ft 4in and 260lbs superstar gave a good performance, his age played spoilsport to his wrestling ambitions.
In April 2017, Wiese returned to football for a one-off match with German eighth-division side SSV Dillingen. The side lost the match 2–1 to TSV Haunsheim.
