The Iron Sheik
WWE Legend The Iron Sheik was an amateur wrestler, professional wrestler, and actor. He won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship in 1983, becoming the only Iranian in the history of WWE to have won it.
His rivalry with WWE Legend Hulk Hogan turned the latter into one of the greatest Superstars in history. At the first WrestleMania, he along with his tag team partner, Nikolai Volkoff won the WWF Tag Team Championship.
In 2005, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2005 and Wrestled his last match in 2010. Also, on Monday Night Raw in November 2010, The Iron Sheik made an appearance along with Nikolai Volkoff. They were then interrupted by Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. The Iron Sheik then went on to talk about Hulk Hogan, until his mic was disconnected. This was his last WWE appearance.
We extend our condolences to the near and dear ones of The Iron Sheik.
