Senior Wrestling National Championship: Dates Changed- The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has advanced the dates of the senior national wrestling championship. The even that was scheduled to start from November 19 will now begin from November 11 at the Nandini Nagar Sports Complex in Gonda, UP.

“I am directed to inform you that due to some reasons, the programme of the 2021 Senior Nationals has been changed. Now, the championship will be held from November 11 to 13 at the same venue,” Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) said in a letter to state associations.
Insidesport has learnt that the reason was logistical. With most of the accommodations booked, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) was struggling to accommodate all the wrestlers and hence they had to take the decision. However, there will be no change in the venue.
However, the event will miss the star wrestler and Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Bajrang Punia, who has just recovered from an injury. Amongst others, World Wrestling Championship silver medallist Anshu Malik will also skip the event as she is recovering from an injury. The biggest name in the senior nationals will be
