When Ronda Rousey initially joined the WWE, her armbar was regarded as deadly. Having said that, other Superstars were abruptly forbidden from using it.

During WrestleMania 34 in 2018, Ronda Rousey made her professional wrestling debut for WWE. Rousey put a stop to Asuka’s incredible unbeaten run in the contest. There were rumours that Asuka had stopped using the armbar since Rousey was on the roster.

The claims are true, according to Road Dogg, who also noted that it’s normal for wrestlers to be told to cease doing particular manoeuvres. He made the observation that once Brock Lesnar made the German suplex famous, many celebrities stopped doing it. WWE also made the decision as a result of the fact that they were selling a tonne of Suplex City t-shirts.

“I do remember about Ronda coming in and people stopping or having to stop using similar armbars. Look, a lot of people do that; you know what I mean? A lot of people come in and have stuff, and you go, ‘Yeah, we’re not going to do that anymore. Don’t do those.’ Look, a lot of German suplexes, when Brock was coming around and taking everybody to Suplex City, and that shirt was selling like wildfire, you didn’t notice too many other people doing German suplexes, didn’t you? But nobody said a word about that.”

We’ll have to wait and see which actions could be abandoned in the future. WWE may always emphasise one Superstar’s fundamental move, leading to a blanket order to remove that move from everyone’s move repertoire. Since that Vince McMahon is once again in charge of WWE, who knows what may happen next?
