Joe Rogan: WWE Legend Ric Flair Details About Paying $2M to Ex Wife

During the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Flair was asked about his retirement from wrestling given he had a fought in a match last year. His response was that he officially retired in 2008, but he continued to make occasional appearances in the ring because of alimony payments. Flair did mention during the podcast that he had to pay substantial alimony to his ex-wives, so he did continue to make wrestling appearances for those payments.

He stated, “I officially retired in 2008. I should have stayed retired but I was paying alimony to three different women so I have to get back to work. Joe, I’m a trendsetter. $2M alimony, $2M attorney fees. And a million and half paying interest.”

During their conversation, The Nature Boy mentioned that he would finally be receiving a government rebate for paying more than required. As a follow-up, Joe Rogan probed for a more precise figure, asking for a detailed account of the amount he had given to his ex-wife’s. Flair replied, “My first wife I had to pay $2500 every month from 81 to 83 and I bought her out because she met somebody. My second wife I paid $17 thousand for two years, $16 thousand for two years, $12 thousand for two years and $10 thousand for two years.’’

Flair’s candid admission shed light on the financial burden that he faced due to his personal life. He even joked about being a trendsetter in terms of alimony payments. To which fans also shared their reactions which are as follows.
