What Did Dwayne Johnson Say?
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently spoke with Kevin Hart on Hart to Heart. During that, Johnson revealed why he stopped playing Black Adam.
The Rock said, “I think that Black Adam got caught in a vortex of new leadership, and at that time, as we were creating Black Adam, developing it, shooting Black Adam, we got knocked down a little bit because of Covid and the shutdowns, got back up. There were so many changes in leadership. And as you know, any time you have a company, but especially that size and magnitude, that’s a publicly traded company, and you have all those changes in leadership, you have people coming in who creatively, fiscally are going to make decisions that you may not agree with philosophically. So I think Black Adam was one of those movies that got caught in that web of new leadership.”
Johnson has starred in a massive number of films including The Mummy Returns, Fast Five, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Fast and Furious 6, Hercules, Furious 7, San Andreas, Baywatch, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Skyscraper, Shazam, and more but, Black Adam was really special for the actor.
Meanwhile, WWE Superstar Grayson Waller has been taking continuous shots at The Rock. Once Johnson gave a fierce response to Waller on Twitter, but the latter didn’t stop and even called out The Rock on WWE television. With that, there were speculations that The Rock will face Waller at SummerSlam 2023. However, it didn’t happen since the pay-per-view event took place recently. But, if Waller continues to take shots at The Rock we’ll have to see if The Rock indeed confronts Waller on any of the upcoming pay-per-view events, especially WrestleMania 40.
