Brock Lesnar Denies a Title Fight against Roman Reigns

After defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns had been the WWE Universal Champion for 945 days. Reigns deposed Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to win the WWE Championship, and Lesnar wants to win the title again. He is still determining if his persona needs to possess a significant marker.

Seven-time WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has also won the Universal Championship three times. He unsuccessfully attempted to challenge Reigns for both world titles at SummerSlam 2022. Since then, he has not been a factor in the championship race.

In an interview with UFC legend Daniel Cormier on ESPN MMA, Lesnar was asked about participating in title fights. “I mean, of course, it does; we all want to be champions, but I don’t need it at this point in my career. However, I would like another opportunity if things worked out that way. However, things are crazy in this business.”

Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship reign

When Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock at SummerSlam in 2002 to win the Undisputed Championship, it was his first significant triumph. In 2003, he twice defeated Kurt Angle to win the world title.

Lesnar had to wait until 2014 to defeat John Cena for his fourth world championship after rejoining WWE in 2012. Later, he defeated Kofi Kingston (SmackDown, 2019), Big E (Day 1, 2022), and Bobby Lashley (Elimination Chamber, 2022) to win the organization’s most coveted title.

At one point in his career, Lesnar was associated with the Universal Championship. When The Beast Incarnate defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, he successfully defended the belt for the first time. In 2018 and 2019, he won the title once more.
