Bad Bunny Lawsuit: WWE Superstar and Rapper Bad Bunny in TROUBLE, faces $40 million lawsuit, Check WHY?
One of Bad Bunny’s ex-girlfriends, Carliz De La Cruz Hernandez has filed a $40 million lawsuit against the rapper. The lawsuit is based on two of Bad Bunny’s songs. They are “Dos Mil 16” and “Pa Ti”. The case is based on the fact that these two songs feature voice recordings of Carliz without her consent. In the above-mentioned songs Carliz De La Cruz Hernandez’s voice can be heard saying “Bad Bunny, baby.”
Carliz and Bad Bunny dated from 2011 to 2017. She claimed that she was earlier offered $2000 for the recording but she refused the offer. Thus the lawsuit was filed. She also mentioned that the publication of the songs without her knowledge was an intentional attack on her privacy.
“Since de la Cruz made it clear that she did not consent to its use, its publication constituted an act of gross negligence, bad faith, and, worse still, an attack on their privacy, morals, and dignity since all parties had and still have knowledge of these facts and even so decided to be reckless and break the law,” states a translation of the lawsuit. “Likewise, the publication of the song ‘Dos Mil 16’ without the consent of Carliz was carried out intentionally, in bad faith and for profit.” (H/T:- Pitchfork)
