Adam Cole, who became a free agent at the end of August after losing to Kyle O’Reilly at NXT Takeover 36 on August 22, also made his shocking AEW debut tonight and got himself aligned with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. He has been a close friend with Omega, and while aligning he said that The Elite was the most dominant group in pro-wrestling.

Meanwhile, Bryan’s WWE contract expired in late April this year, and it was put into a storyline where if he lost to Roman Reigns, he would not show up on Smackdown, and that’s what exactly happened. Once his contract expired, he never re-signed with the company as he was seeking fewer dates compared to the money offered by WWE, along with the opportunity to wrestle in Japan. He also made his appearance in the closing segment and teamed up with Jurrasic Express and Christian Cage, who lost a hard-fought AEW World Title main-event match against Kenny Omega.
