Despite having a short career, Lesnar held the UFC heavyweight championship for more than 700 days and twice overcame undefeated opponents Shane Carwin and former champion Frank Mir to retain his belt.

How Brock Lesnar Won the UFC heavyweight title

Brock Lesnar defeated Randy Couture in UFC 91 in Las Vegas, after delivering a series of brutal punches and winning a second-round TKO during the main event.

Lesnar has a record of 5 wins and 3 losses (5-3-0 (1 NC)) in MMA during the course of his career, defeating renowned competitors including Randy Couture, Shane Carwin, and Frank Mir. He also lost to Alistair Overeem and Cain Velasquez by significant margins.

Yet in his MMA debut at UFC K1-Dynamite, “The Beast” silenced his detractors by finishing Min Soo Kim in the first round.  Brock Lesnar lost to Frank Mir at UFC 81 but came back to defeat Heath Herring at UFC 87. Brock Lesnar was the next to receive a title shot from Dana White, and the veteran of the WWE accepted it without hesitation.
