WWE Smackdown: The Boss is back on Friday Night Smackdown. Sasha Banks has returned to WWE Smackdown and has set her sights on the Smackdown Women’s Championship, a title she lost at Wrestlemania 37.
In tonight’s blockbuster episode of the Blue brand, “The Boss,” Sasha Banks made a surprising return to the company after more than three months. Her return was emphatic in all senses as it was expected that The Boss would have a Smackdown Women’s Championship rematch at WWE Summerslam. With what took place tonight in the main event, it seems like the seeds have been planted for this feud.
WWE Smackdown: Sasha Banks returned and turned on Bianca Belair
Sasha Banks’ return can be described in two parts. First, she returned by making her way to the ring to save Binaca Belair from Carmella & Zelina Vega’s vicious assault, and later in the main event of the night, she turned on her tag-team partner Binaca Belair and put her through the Banks Statement, not once but twice.

Before even Sasha’s return, the fans already expected that she would go after Bianca Belair upon her return. A championship match between the two ladies would be apt on a grand stage like WWE Summerslam was always in the making. The way things panned out tonight on WWE Smackdown, Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair at WWE Summerslam, is just an official announcement away from happening.
Also, on tonight’s show, after things got ugly in Finn Balor & Roman Reigns’ contract signing segment for the Universal Championship match at WWE Summerslam. However, Cena finally got his wish to face the Head of the Table at WWE Summerslam for the Universal Championship when he signed the contract instead of Balor. The two formidable figures will now headline WWE Summerslam with the Universal Championship on the line.
