WWE SmackDown Live Results, live blog & live streaming details: Another week and another edition of Friday Night SmackDown awaited the WWE Universe. This week’s show streamed live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Fatal 4-way match: Ricochet, Sheamus, Solo Sikoa and Rey Mysterio competed in a No.1 contender’s match for the Intercontinental Title. Solo Sikoa and Ricochet started their brawl while Sheamus and Rey Mysterio took on each other. The Lucha High flyer went airborne to take on the other opponents on the ringside.

After the commercial break, Sheamus dominated the ring destroying Ricochet and Rey Mysterio. Meanwhile, Solo Siko and Sheamus stared down at each other and soon threw vicious strikes. However, the Street Fighter delivered a Samoan Drop on Sheamus. Later, Rey Mysterio and Ricochet fought in the ring with consecutive reversals and heavy blows.

Once again, Solo Sikoa made a comeback and destroyed his opponents, tossing them to the corner, followed by a spinning kick to Sheamus. After the commercial break, the domination from the Enforcer continued on Friday Night SmackDown. However, Sheamus took the big man down with a chop.

In the final moments of the match, WWE Universe witnessed The Bloodline aided Rey Mysterio defeated Ricochet to be the No 1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title while the Brawling Brutes and The Bloodline brawled on the sidelines.

6-woman tag team match: Damage CTRL faced Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shotzi in a 6-woman tag team match. Roxanne and Dakota started the match with Kai playing dirty tricks on her opponent. Soon, Iyo Sky tagged in attacking Perez. Iyo Sky overpowered Perez, but it didn’t last long.

Soon, Shotzi and Dakota Kai competed on the ringside with a quick switch back to Iyo Sky. The match continued with Shotzi fighting back Damage CTRL. Meanwhile, tags switched on both sides with Raquel Rodriguez and Bayley confronting each other. The match continued on the ringside with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky overpowering Raquel, followed by a high fly move from Shotzi.

On the other hand, Roxanne and Bayley fought in the ring with multiple strikes to each other. Roxanne was successful to avoid Bayley’s finisher but Bayley stole the victory with a pinfall.

LA Knight vs Mansoor: LA Knight competed against Maximum Male Model’s Mansoor in a one-on-one match. Knight started the match by tossing Mansoor into the ring. However, Maxine Dupri distracted LA Knight, allowing Mansoor to attack their former boss.

The match didn’t last long after LA Knight picked up his momentum with consecutive strikes to Mansoor and ended the match with a BFT. Later that match, LA Knight warned the SmackDown roster and put him on notice.

2-on-1 Handicap Match: Braun Strowman competed in a 2-on-1 handicap match against local wrestlers. The Monster tossed both men on the sidelines while the WWE Universe witnessed Omos and MVP walking down to the ring. Strowman ended the match in quick seconds, staring at Omos with a power slam and a powerbomb. Later that match, MVP mocked Braun Strowman teasing a future match between the two giants.

Sami Zayn vs Kofi Kingston: Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with the honorary ‘Uce’ Sami Zayn competed against Kofi Kingston. The former tag team champion started the match with a dropkick knocking Zayn.

After the commercial break, Sami Zayn continued in the ring overpowering Kofi Kingston. Sami sided Kingston on the ring corner and delivered a move from The Usos’ book. The assault continued on Kofi Kingston with consecutive strikes allowed with a chokehold. However, the former WWE Champion kicked off the after-cover.

However, the match’s momentum changed when Kofi delivered a mid-air dropkick to Sami Zayn. Meanwhile, Sami Zayn knocked out Kofi Kingston on the ringside from the top rope. Once again, both men were back in the ring with offensive strikes at each other. Kingston also delivered the SOS but the former Intercontinental Champion kicked out. Meanwhile, Jey Uso gave a super kick to Xavier Woods.

In the final moments of the match, Sami Zayn captured the victory after the aid of Jey Uso during the roll-up pin cover.
