WWE Release: Samoa Joe released by the company- It seems like WWE would soon attain a degree in releasing superstars and background staff in the name of budget cuts. Former 3-time NXT Champion Samoa Joe has become the latest name on the WWE roster to face the axe from the company.
WWE Release: Samoa Joe released for the second time in two years
Samoa Joe has become the latest victim of WWE’s infamous budget cut policy. Also, he becomes the first man to get released for the second time from the company.

His first release came last year after the Wrestlemania 37 PPV event owning to budget cuts. However, he was reinstated in the company in June 2021 by Triple H as part of NXT. Joe was hired as a special enforcer to General Manager William Regal but ended up feuding with the then NXT Champion Karrion Kross, whom he defeated at NXT Takeover 36 in August to become a record 3-time NXT Champion.

He was then forced to relinquish the title owing to an undisclosed injury on September 12. Since then, he worked as a coach behind-the-scene on NXT. He last wrestled on the main roster in February 2020 before moving to the Raw commentary table as a part of the commentary team.

WWE Release: William Regal also released by the company
Besides Samoa Joe, NXT General Manager William Regal has also been released by the company yesterday. Regal was among the major overhaul of WWE NXT and WWE Performance Center staff.
