WWE News: WWE to Scrap Latest Plans for Roman Reigns: Reports
According to the reports, WWE scheduled Roman Reigns to compete in his first title defense in the upcoming Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Recent reports suggested Reigns would face former Raw Tag Team Champion Riddle at Money in the Bank. But, there is no official confirmation.

Recently, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported Roman Reigns’ future plans in WWE. He reported Roman Reigns vs Riddle is likely to be scrapped and WWE is not willing to bring both men to face each other. Nevertheless, there is no official confirmation if Roman Reigns will miss the show or face a new opponent.
Dave Meltzer said, “But, the plan was for it to be… They are doing the match. The plan was to do it in Vegas, which, of course, as you recall, the plan for Vegas was Roman Reigns against Riddle. Now, Roman Reigns is not necessarily off that show, but Roman Reigns and Riddle is probably off the show, but they can always change their minds. WWE News: WWE booked Roman Reigns for 3 Upcoming Summer Stadium Shows
Recently, the Undisputed Universal Champion signed a new deal with WWE. According to the deal, Roman Reigns would compete in major stadium shows and Premium Live events. Also, he would be present less on live TV shows. In short, his deal is similar to Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.
As per the reports, WWE scheduled Reigns for Money in the Bank, SummerSlam, and Clash at The Castle. Even there were speculations regarding his next three opponents, which included Riddle, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre. However, these opponents are not officially confirmed and WWE changes its plans constantly.
