As per WrestleVotes, WWE has postponed their current plans of visiting India for a live show due to unspecific reasons. Earlier, the company planned to schedule a big live event on Wednesday, January 18 from the 5,000-seat Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India. The company planned the SmackDown roster to be at the live event and it was speculated that Drew McIntyre would be the big star main eventing the show.

Also, WWE had big plans for Indus Sher the tag team from the NXT brand who has flourished in the White and Gold brand. Additionally, the management also took special precautions for Veer Mahaan who suffered a minor injury.

Unfortunately, their return is postponed to further dates. WWE fans in India were waiting for the live event since 2017 and now the unfortunate news would dishearten the fans. Earlier, Ringside News discussed how WWE’s return was something related to live television specifically for local deals.
WWE has a huge fan base in India and in 2017 they did a live event featuring several superstars from the main roster while Jinder Mahal took the lead being the WWE Champion. Since 2017, WWE has recruited several Indian-origin superstars and they are training consistently for their TV debut.
