WWE News: WWE Legend Bret Hart regrets leaving WWE for WCW, says,”I probably wouldn’t have had a stroke”:
Bret “The Hitman” Hart had a pretty prolific career back in the 1990s. He was a major name in the books of the franchise and had a rather huge cult following. But, his career suddenly came to a standstill when he crossed paths with Vince McMahon.
It all happened during the Montreal Screwjob where Hart was facing Shawn Michaels in a title match. Bret Hart had creative control over his character, and he wouldn’t let Canada lose the championship, thus the drama played out behind the scenes. Due to this, Vince McMahon decided to humiliate Bret Hart in the middle of the match by announcing Shawn Michaels as the winner despite the fact that Bret never tapped out.
This caused the relationship between Shawn Michaels, and Hart to get stained. As they became fierce rivals both on and off the screen. But, as time passed things seemed to have gotten better between the two.
“We had our issues over the years,” said Hart. “But I watched Undertaker and Shawn Michaels wrestle at one of the WrestleManias. Even then, I had such a bitterness towards Shawn, but I had to admit it was one of the greatest matches I ever watched. That’s where I ended up deciding to make friends with Shawn and bury the hatchet and all that. It was very truthful, that little story line with me and Vince and Shawn. Me and Shawn making up in the ring (in 2010) and shaking hands and all that, that was all very real and very moving for me. And was not something that was orchestrated. Shawn wanted that off his back and I was in a position to take it off his back and that was the best resolution for both of us. We’ve been friends ever since. And I’m grateful that he’s in a better place today. I wish that none of the bad history that we had had ever happened. I wished I’d never left for WCW because I probably wouldn’t have had a stroke and I probably wouldn’t have had to wrestle Bill Goldberg.” – H/T fightful.com/
Later Bret left to be a part of WCW where his career was put to an end by the boots of Goldberg.
Maybe if he hadn’t left for the alternative The Hitman might still have enjoyed a couple more years on the top. What are your opinions about this? Share your views in the comments…

WWE News: Montreal Screwjob and the full-stop Hart’s career
After the Montreal Screwjob Hart was undoubtedly infuriated with both the owner of the franchise and his colleague. The fact that he lost the title in his home country added some extra salt to the freshly gained wounds. That’s when The Hitman thought it was better to switch sides.
That was the beginning of the downfall of the big man. He still managed to continue sometime more will his sustained injuries but, his auspicious career was already over before 2000. Although he made a comeback in 2010 he was far from the hitman that everyone knew and loved.
He was scheduled to have a matchup against The mighty Goldberg. It would have been like any other match but, Hart was immediately knocked to the ground by Goldberg’s boot as it struck him square in the side of the head. After receiving a concussion diagnosis, he was forced to retire the following year. Since then, Hart has held Goldberg responsible for not only destroying his career but also for costing him millions of dollars.
Right now, the feud between The Hitman and Shawn might just be a thing of the past but, the 65-year-old is yet to forgive Goldberg.
