Vince McMahon’s decision to sell WWE is strongly opposed by the McMahon Family

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H took over WWE after Vince McMahon’s resignation. Following Mr. McMahon’s resignation, Stephanie became the Co-CEO alongside Nick Khan and Triple become the Chief Brand Officer who brought tremendous changes within the company.

As per a report from Axios, fans are not the only ones to oppose Vince McMahon’s decision to sell the company. The McMahon family is also strongly opposing his decisions. It is no big surprise for the Game to oppose the sale as the company is scaling its business on a large scale and bringing more viewership in recent months with better fan support.

“Sources told Axios that Stephanie McMahon and her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the company’s chief content officer and a retired professional wrestler, had opposed a sale.”

Currently, there are many potential buyers standing to buy WWE. In the meantime, Vince McMahon is heavily pushing the company’s sales to catch a potential buyer with Saudi Arabia first in line. On the other hand, UFC’s parent company Endeavor also came into the list in recent times.

Tony Khan is in the pool of potential buyers for the WWE

AEW President Tony Khan has shown interest in buying Vince McMahon’s company. In 2019, Tony Khan started ‘All Elite Wrestling’ which brought several released talents from WWE to compete against the top wrestling company in the world. If Tony Khan buys WWE, he will have the biggest hand in the wrestling business with WWE under his palms.

As per a report from Wall Street Journal’s parent publication Barrons, the AEW President, and his father are on the list of potential buyers.

“All Elite Wrestling—the top rival to WWE, led by Tony Khan and family—is in the pool of potential buyers for WWE, a person close to the potential transaction told Barron’s, adding that the Khans will likely look for a financial partner to acquire the asset. Tony Khan’s father Shahid Khan, a co-owner of AEW, already owns the football team Jacksonville Jaguars and the English soccer club Fulham Football Club, indicating the duo have deep pockets.” [H/T Barrons]

After Saudi Arabia, Tony Khan is rumored to buy World Wrestling Entertainment. Do you think Tony Khan will buy WWE? Tell us in the comments.
