WWE News: UFC owners comment on buying WWE: Endeavor President Mark Shapiro has revealed his stance on the possibility of buying WWE. There have been numerous reports regarding a possible sale of the Stamford-based promotion since Vince McMahon stepped down as the chairman of the company. Speaking recently on the The Town podcast, Shapiro shed light on the rumors doing the rounds on social media. He admitted to have previously enquired about buying the global juggernaut but was informed that it is not for sale.
“That would be something that would be interesting and worth exploring. Would we buy it? Who knows? Last I checked, it wasn’t for sale. We’re interested in anything in the owned sports properties segment,” Shapiro said. [H/T: Cultaholic]

There have also been reports of The Rock, one of the most followed stars the WWE have ever produced, wanting to buy the promotion. It is to be noted that the company is currently valued at nearly nearly $5.63 billion.

The billion dollar princess, along with Nick Khan, was promoted to the post of CEO after Vince McMahon decided to end his tenure as WWE Chairman. Stephanie’s husband and 14-time world champion Triple H also saw an upgrade in his role as the new Chief Content Officer of the promotion.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Vince’s daughter is said to have addressed the ongoing rumors about the sale of the leading business in the wrestling industry.
“She also addresses the between the lines of the question which is a sale. She said VKM is still controlling shareholder and their management team is always thinking about what is best,” the report stated.
WWE has brought back a crop of superstars under the new regime. Several stars have grabbed the opportunity to work under Triple H which is a sign of positive things to come. However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the company.
