WWE News: Wardlow on Cody Rhodes: WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes made an emphatic return to the Stamford-based promotion at WrestleMania earlier this year. He took on Seth Rollins on the night and emerged as the winner. However, that was not the end of the feud as Cody went on to battle Rollins two more times. He was victorious on both occasions with the latest victory coming inside the cell. The superstar has been sidelined since their final bout as he suffered an injury during the course of the match.

Cody’s first spell in WWE lasted 10 years from 2006 to 2016. After parting ways with Vince McMahon’s brand, he plied his trade in a few other promotions before making a move to AEW in 2018. During his run in the Jacksonville-based promotion, Cody held the TNT Championship and was one of the top stars of the company. In 2022 he made up his mind to return to WWE. Speaking on the ‘Eat, Sleep, Podcast, Repeat‘ podcast, current TNT Champion Wardlow professed that he misses Cody backstage in AEW.

“I don’t know if I would say let down, because I love Cody, and I will support whatever he wants to do with his life, so I would never hold that against him, and I told him that. I personally do miss his presence in the locker room. He does have a very positive presence backstage, and he was somebody I could comfortably go to, and speak to, so I do miss having him around. But, I will always wish him the best of luck in whatever he does.” (H/T – Wrestling Inc.)

WWE News: Disco Inferno believes Cody Rhodes will regain top spot on coming back

Cody Rhodes made an immediate impact when he returned to WWE at WrestleMania this year. He was even speculated to square off against Roman Reigns in the near future as he himself expressed his desire to become world champion. But his plans had to be halted due to the injury he suffered during a brawl with Seth Rollins.

While speaking on Keepin’ It 100, Disco Inferno explained that Cody will be right back in the main event scene when he comes back.

“No [he didn’t lose the top spot]. I think he can come back and he’ll be in that spot. I think he’s fine.”

There has been no confirmation on when Cody will return to action. It will be interesting to see how he is booked when he is back.
