This is the only time the duo faced each other. In the match, Bryan Danielson successfully defeated Gunther in their one-time match. However, the match became immensely memorable to the WWE Universe. 15 years later to that day, Gunther has recently tweeted remembering about his only match with Bryan Danielson.

A few months back one Twitter user suggested a dream match between the two superstars and no one was able to keep their calm.

However, since then, Gunther has had an incredible career. Last year in April, Gunther made his main roster debut and won the Intercontinental Championship title in June by defeating Ricochet. Since then he has successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship title by defeating Rey Mysterio, Sheamus, Ricochet, and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Last week on smackdown, Gunther successfully defeated Braun Strowman to retain his Intercontinental Championship.
