Friday Night SmackDown this week kicked off with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa. Moments later, Jey Uso walked out and joined the others inside the ring.
Heyman took the mic and blamed Jimmy Uso for everything. He then stated that Roman Reigns desires to groom Jey Uso as the ‘Next Tribal Chief’. The Wiseman then went on to announce that he has arranged a match between United States Championship Austin Theory and Jey Uso. He also mentioned that, if Jey wins the title, Roman Reigns will groom him to be the ‘Next Tribal Chief’ and Jey can be the next tribal chief someday.
Jey accepted the challenge against Austin Theory and Heyman went for a handshake. However, Jey stated that he will give it a thought and left.

The match began with Jey Uso in charge, who delivered a Neckbreaker. Theory recovered and came with a spinning slam. Jey Uso gained momentum and nailed the Frog Splash.
Meanwhile, Pretty Deadly ran interference and Jimmy Uso came out to make the save. Solo Sikoa also came out and attacked Jimmy Uso. Sikoa then went for the Samoan Spike but Jey stopped him. However, Jimmy accidentally superkicked Jey. Meanwhile, Theory took advantage of the moment and covered his opponent for the win.
With that, Jey became frustrated and walked away without making any decision.
