WWE News: Latest Update on Kevin Owens’ injury occurred during WWE Live Event
WWE is not always about glamourous shows, superstar status, and multi-million dollar deals. Injuries and bad turn of form are also a part of being a WWE superstar. Nearly every big name of WWE has suffered threatening injuries over time and this time its none other than Kevin Owens, who has been sidelined. He will reportedly miss the whole of 2022 in the recovery process.
Kevin Owens has unfortunately suffered a right knee injury at Sunday’s WWE house show, during a match with Austin Theory.
It has been confirmed that the injury is an MCL sprain (Wrestling Observer).

As previously mentioned, during his victory over Austin Theory at Sunday’s WWE live event in Madison, Wisconsin, Owens appeared to injure his knee. Fans in attendance claim that Owens fell forcefully to his knee after leaving the turnbuckle. As the referee examined him, he instantly gripped the knee. Then he stood back up, walked straight to the stunner, and pinned Theory. A referee assisted Owens in leaving the ring while he was limping.
Previously, it was speculated that Owens might have just faced an MCL sprain. But, as his days of absence are increasing, fans think that he might suffer from something else, something severe.
An MCL sprain can mend in around six weeks, which would allow Owens to be back in the ring for the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. However, there is currently no estimated time frame for Owens’ return to in-ring action and no information on the severity of the injury. The extent of the injury will determine the method of recuperation and the amount of downtime required.
