WWE News: John Cena had a tough time at Summerslam
John Cena was touted to dethrone the Head of the Table as the Universal Champion and become a record 17-time World Champion. However, it turned out to be an unsolved misery for John Cena, who succumbed to his second loss at the hands of Roman Reigns.
Roman defeated John Cena at the No Mercy PPV in 2017, and four years later, in 2021, the Head of the Table humiliated the Leader of Cenation at WWE Summerslam. By the looks of their match, it seemed like John Cena was brought back as a scapegoat to glorify Roman Reigns’ stint as the Universal Champion, and his crushing defeat was all about helping Vince McMahon in Roman’s push.
