WWE News: Intercontinental Title match to be tapped on 10/28 episode of Friday Night SmackDown
As announced earlier, Gunther vs Rey Mysterio is set to take place on the November 4 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. It will be the final episode before WWE flies away to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for Crown Jewel.

Precisely, WWE will tap the 11/5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown in order to reach Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on schedule. The tapping for this match will take place on next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Until now, Gunther is undefeated in singles competitions since his debut. He won the Intercontinental title from Ricochet on Friday Night SmackDown with several title defenses. His last title defense took place before Extreme Rules against Sheamus, which had a controversial ending after Ludwig Kaiser handed a weapon to win the match.

The Ring General delivered spectacular matches in recent title defense, with the most anticipated match being at Clash at the Castle against Sheamus.
WWE News: Rey Mysterio defeated Ludwig Kaiser on SmackDown
On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Rey Mysterio and Imperium were engaged in a backstage confrontation where Ludwig Kaiser mocked the grand slam champion. In counter, the former US Champion led a challenge to show up in the ring later that night.

Ultimately, Mysterio faced Kaiser in a one-on-one match. Fans saw Imperium taking advantage of the referee’s distraction to take on the Luchador, but Rey Mysterio played tricks to ban the rest of the Imperium from the ringside. Eventually, the match ended up with Kaiser losing after receiving a 619 followed by a frog splash.
