WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently spoke to NBC Los Angeles. In the interview, Stone Cold Steve Austin mentioned that his in-ring days are over and he will continue to remain retired from professional wrestling. Check out what the WWE legend had to say.
Austin stated “Coming back to do something from time to time is fine, because I love my relationship with WWE, but my days in the ring are done…although, I did do the main event at WrestleMania last year in Dallas, but that was kind of a fluke and we pulled it off. It’s good to be back and see some of the faces. I’m looking forward to the guys I’m going to see tonight, but I’ve been gone for a long time, and I do not miss it”
The Texas Rattlesnake made his in-ring return at WrestleMania 38, where he faced Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred Match which was the main event of WrestleMania 38 Night one. This was his first match in WWE since he faced The Rock at WrestleMania 19.
During the match with Kevin Owens, Austin continuously taunted KO by pouring cans of beer on him. In the end, Stone Cold Steve Austin performed a stunner on KO to win the match. Later, Austin delivered a second stunner to Owens, who was taken out by the Texas State Police.
However, now it seems like that was his last match. As Austin stated that he will remain retired from professional wrestling.
