WWE News: Former WWE Champion desires to win the Royal Rumble match before retiring

Recently, the former WWE Champion revealed to win the Royal Rumble before he ends his wrestling journey. While speaking The Bubba Show, Kofi Kingston mentioned he wants to win the prestigious Royal Rumble match.

“The one thing? There’s a lot. Winning the Rumble would be great… There’s a list. You’ve got to stay hungry. You don’t stay around this long by sitting on your laurels.” [H/T – WrestleZone]

Kofi Kingston is one of the WWE superstars who participates in the Royal Rumble every year but has never got a chance to win it. Despite his unique maneuvers and elimination-saving comebacks, he is yet to register himself as the Royal Rumble winner. However, he is a major attraction at the 30-men elimination match where he has made a unique comeback after almost getting himself eliminated.

Earlier this month, he announced his 2023 Royal Rumble appearance. Currently, he holds the NXT tag team title alongside Xavier Woods which they won at NXT Deadline defeating Pretty Deadly.
