WWE News: The company revealed the 12 Superstars who will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship. As previously announced by Triple H, the selected WWE Superstars, including Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and others, will fight in the triple threat matches on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. WWE made this significant announcement on their official YouTube channel. Watch the video below. Follow the WWE News: WWE Night of Champions 2023 Updates with InsideSport.IN
WWE News: 12 Contenders from RAW and SmackDown for World Heavyweight Championship
As 12 Superstars compete to win the World Heavyweight Title at Night of Champions, Raw will be represented by Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura, and The Miz. In contrast, SmackDown will be represented by AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, Edge, Rey Mysterio, and Sheamus.
SIX Contenders from RAW
Cody Rhodes: Cody Rhodes will compete in one of the Triple Threat Matches on Monday Night Raw, and I anticipate him to prevail in a triple-threat match. He is the only one who can equal Seth Rollins’ response from the audience. Therefore a Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins match would be fantastic.
Damian Priest: At WWE Backlash 2023, Damian Priest lost to Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico, further boosting his career. Damian will benefit much from being one of the 12 contenders and from taking home the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. There are two members of Judgement Day on the list of contenders. The other competitor on the list is Finn Balor.
Finn Bálor: Another person to whom this belt would make sense to be given is Balor. This would provide Finn Balor a run with a title he didn’t receive after winning the Universal title after defeating Seth Rollins. If WWE wants the belt on a heel, Balor and Judgement Day have been tremendous.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins: There’s a good reason Seth Rollins is currently the favorite to win this tournament. Rollins is one of the finest in the world in the ring, but nobody else on the roster, not even Cody Rhodes, is as popular with the crowd. He should triumph in a triple-threat bout.
Shinsuke Nakamura: On WWE Draft 2023, Shinsuke Nakamura was transferred from Friday Night SmackDown to Monday Night Raw. In his Red Brand debut, he made a statement by challenging The Miz, another heavyweight contender for the WWE championship.
The Miz: As mentioned, The Miz and Rollins put on a spectacular performance on Raw last week, with many considering it to be at least the finest match in the previous seven days.
The Miz, currently the sixth contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, can challenge Seth Rollins after winning the triple threat matches.
Six Contenders from SmackDown
AJ Styles: It was terrific to see AJ Styles come back, and he ought to be the favorite to emerge from these triple threats and take on WWE Raw’s victor at Night of Champions. AJ Styles recently made a triumphant comeback from injuries, and he can put on a fantastic match with anyone. Since they have been back, The OC has been winning, and I anticipate that trend to continue with AJ Styles.
Austin Theory:
Bobby Lashley:
Edge:
Rey Mysterio: A third veteran can join this triple threat and deliver a great battle against anyone. Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik had been engaged in a feud, but that should stop with Dominik and Judgement Day moving to Raw and Rey remaining on Smackdown. Mysterio is one of the most well-known wrestlers ever and a prominent figure on Smackdown. Although he will not succeed, he will contribute to the high quality of these matches.
Sheamus: Watching Sheamus’ career take off over the past few years has been excellent. Even if WWE separated him from Gunther and McIntyre, he has put up banger match after banger match, and I anticipate he will continue to do so. The Brawling Brute must participate in a tournament like this. Although I don’t expect him to prevail, he will undoubtedly beat several opponents to a pulp.
