WWE Money in the Bank 2022: Former Champion wins the Battle Royal to win a spot at the MITB Ladder match

All superstars started their brawl to win the spot. Veer Mahaan initiated the first elimination of the match, eliminating former 24/7 champion Tozawa followed by Shelton Benjamin. However, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio teamed up with Mustafa Ali to take down the Monday Night Lion. Initially, Veer Mahaan resisted all three men but, unfortunately, failed to hold on more after Mysterios delivered the 619.

Later, WWE fans saw several eliminations in the match, including Shanky, Jinder Mahal, Reggie, and many more. The former Intercontinental Champion Ricochet put on a great show with his athleticism against T-bar eliminating him with style on the apron.

On the other side, The Miz played dirty tricks to stay out of the match after hitting Ricochet pretending to be injured. The Battle Royal continued with Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, and Riddle fighting for their final spot for the MITB ladder match. The King of Strong Style tried to eliminate the Phenomenal but ended up getting eliminated followed by Ricochet.

In the final moments of the match, AJ Styles overpowered Riddle and tried to deliver the Phenomenal forearm, when suddenly, The Miz dragged Styles from the apron, eliminating him. With only two superstars remaining in the ring, Riddle fought hard to win the match. Although the Miz tried his best to stay on his feet, Riddle gave him the taste of RKO in the end to win the match.

WWE Money in the Bank 2022: Is Riddle Eligible to challenge Roman Reigns if he wins the MITB contract?

A few weeks back, Riddle competed against the Head of the Table Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Title. According to the stipulation, Paul Heyman mentioned if Riddle fails to win the match, he will no longer get a title shot for the Undisputed Universal Title until Reigns is dethroned.

Eventually, if Riddle wins the MITB briefcase, he will still not be able to challenge Roman Reigns. However, if Brock Lesnar wins the Last Man Standing Match against Roman Reigns, Riddle can cash in his MITB briefcase to win a title shot for the Undisputed Universal Title.
