WWE Draft 2021: Every year, a handful of names switch their brands, and this time around, there are rumors that the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre might switch his brand and move to WWE Smackdown. The rumor came to light when Dave Meltzer of Wrestling News Observer mentioned that the former WWE Champion might switch brands in the upcoming drafts.
As per Meltzer, “Bobby Lashley retained the WWE title in the Hell in a Cell match main event over Drew McIntyre. The stipulation was that if McIntyre lost, he could never challenge for the title as long as Lashley is champion.- This could easily build to a brand switch, which also gives Roman Reigns a fresh new opponent since he obviously needs one.”

WWE Draft 2021: Roman Reigns has been ruling the Blue brand!
Ever since Roman became the Universal Champion at WWE Payback 2020, he has been ruling WWE Smackdown for good, with no significant or strong opponent to challenge him. He is busy carving his legacy and to an extent, has succeeded magnificently.
Meanwhile, things seem to hit their roadblock for the Scottish Warrior on the Red brand, who just lost the WWE Championship bout against Bobby Lashley at Hell in a Cell PPV. Drew desperately needs a change, and switching brands could come fruitful for the former WWE Champion. If Drew McIntyre makes his move, he will be an apt challenger for Roman Reigns to face him for the Universal Championship at some stage.

Also, Drew has a score to settle with the Universal Champion. Both these formidable opponents collided at the Survivor Series PPV last year, and Roman Reigns barely managed to clinch a victory courtesy with some aid from his cousin Jey Uso. Drew’s move to the Blue brand will definitely give Roman Reigns a worthy opponent.
