WWE Draft 2023: The 2023 WWE Draft began with the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown and will end with the May 1 episode of WWE Raw. During Night 1 of the WWE Draft, several Superstars were drafted, however, a few Superstars including Omos became free agents. WWE Draft Night 1, consisted of four rounds. The first round highlighted Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa, and Bianca Belair getting drafted to SmackDown, while Cody Rhodes and Becky Lynch got drafted to Raw. There were NXT call-ups too, which involved Indi Hartwell getting drafted to Raw, While, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn getting drafted to SmackDown.
Also, on the SmackDown LowDown, WWE revealed additional picks. However, Omos along with MVP, Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, and Von Wagner were marked as free agents.

WWE Draft 2023: Why was Omos drafted as a free agent?
Omos became a free agent after MVP negotiated his free agent status to make his presence felt on both brands. Omos is thus free to appear on both shows.

Previously, Omos faced Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39, where Lesnar delivered three German Suplexes and an F5 to the Giant to win the match.
Omos is also a part of the upcoming Pay-per-view event, WWE Backlash 2023, which is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2023, where The Giant Omos will face Seth “Freakin” Rollins in a singles match.
