WWE Day 1: Three former World Champions who are set to miss the PPV event- WWE Day 1 is almost upon us, and the match card is almost final. The inaugural PPV event and the first one of 2022 will be taking place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, January 1.
WWE Day 1: With matches almost finalized, we have come up with a list of three former World Champions who won’t be featuring at the PPV event. So without any further ado, let’s check it out.

WWE Day 1: AJ Styles
“The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles, after his recent split up with Omos, is busy in a new feud with NXT’s Grayson Waller. He is scheduled to feature at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 4. However, the former World Champion isn’t scheduled for a match or appearance at the WWE Day 1 PPV.
AJ StylesAJ Styles was supposed to take on Omos last week on Monday Night Raw, but the match couldn’t happen as Omos was sent home by WWE from Detroit. With this match due, it was speculated that the two former foes might face each other at WWE Day 1, but that’s not the case yet.

WWE Day 1: Sheamus
“The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus is another former World Champion who will be missing WWE Day 1. Sheamus is on Friday Night Smackdown, and currently, he is at a loss of feuds. He is being portrayed as a mentor of Ridge Holland on the Blue brand, but his own essence is lacking.

WWE Day 1: Rey Mysterio
Former World Champion Rey Mysterio was closing in to feature at the WWE Day 1 PPV event, but he was left disappointed last week when he and his son Dominik lost to The Street Profits in a number one contender’s match to challenge the Raw tag-team Champions RK-Bro.
Rey MysterioIt was a grueling battle between the Street Profits and Rey Mysterio this past week on Raw that saw the Street Profits coming out on top. Now they will go on t challenge Randy Orton & Riddle for the Raw tag-team championship at WWWE Day 1.
