Australia qualification: Australia have secured WTC Final spot with a 2-0 win over SouthAfrica. With 75.56 PCT, they are now at the top. But their most crucial series is against India. However, even if Australia lose the series 0-4, they can still qualify for the final in June.
- Australia are top of the points table with 75.56 PCT. Australia still have 4 matches left.
- They will be in first place with a PCT of 65 even if they lose the four-match series to India 0-1.
- Australia would still be in strong shape to get to the finals with a PCT of 62 even after losing to India 0-2.
- In case of a 0-4 whitewash to India, Australia can still finish in 2nd even if SouthAfrica win to WestIndies 2-0.
- Australia’s PCT will go down to 56 but will be able to qualify.

India qualification: India are the 2nd favoruite to seal WTC Final slot. A 4-0 thrashing of Australia at home will allow India to claim the top spot with 63%. India have four home Tests left against Australia.
Even a 3-1 victory over Australia will be sufficient because it will have a PCT of 60, which will ensure India the top spot. India are 2nd with 58.93 PCT. India have 4 Tests left, all against Australia.
- After Australia beat SouthAfrica 2-0 in the Test series, India need to win 2-0 or 3-1 win against Australia.
- Any other result will be difficult if SouthAfrica win their last two matches.
South Africa qualification: SouthAfrica are 4th with 48.72 percentage points. But they are still not out of the race.
- They will need to beat West Indies 2-0 at home
- With that, SA can reach a maximum PCT of 60.00.
- But SA will also need to watch IND vs AUS series.
- If India win 2-0 or 3-1 or 3-0, SA will be out.
- If Australia or India get white-washed, SA can sneak in to No 2.
Sri Lanka qualification: SriLanka are 3rd on the points table with a PCT of 53.33. They have to beat NewZealand 2-0.
- That way, they can surpass both SouthAfrica and India with a PCT of 61.11.
- But if India and SA win their respective series, SriLanka may still get knocked out.
Other teams: Despite its recent recovery in the longest format, England has concluded its campaign with a PCT of 46.97, therefore eliminating it from contention for a position in the WTC final. West Indies will be hard-pressed to be in the top two if it can only raise its PCT to a maximum of 50.00. Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Pakistan are mathematically out of the running to go to the WTC finals.
