If the field is hindered, they will analyse it to see if it is still playable or not. If it is, they will keep playing on it; if not, they will look at the other field’s condition and decide whether they can continue playing there. Both captains Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma have been taken into confidence. If both parties agree to continue after the field is harmed, they will play; if not, the game may be cancelled or abandoned. Depending on the events that transpire during the WTC 2023 final, particular scenes will be essential.

First off, under to 6.4.1, the on-field umpires shall notify the ICC match referee if they believe it is unsafe or inappropriate to permit play to continue on the match pitch. In accordance with 6.4.4, the on-field umpires will determine if the current pitch can be fixed and the game can restart from where it was halted after consulting with the ICC match referee. Given the previous play on the dangerous pitch, the ICC match referee must decide whether or not this repair will unjustly benefit either side.
