WTA Rankings: Emma Raducanu breaks into Top 20 list- US Open champion Emma Raducanu moved into the top 20 of the world rankings for the first time on Monday. She is ranked after making it to the quarterfinals of the Transylvania Open in October. Raducanu, 18, also became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam in New York to clinch US Open. She beat another teen prodigy from Canada Leylah Fernandez for the elusive trophy. This week, Raducanu is the top seed for the Linz Open in Austria and has a bye into Tuesday’s second round.

WTA Rankings: Naomi Osaka out of top 10- Japan’s tennis star and 4-times Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has slipped out of the top ten list. She exited US Open in the round of 32 after losing to Leylah Fernandez. The year turned upside down for Osaka who won Australian Open 2021 but after the French Open exit amid controversy for letting her down. She pulled out of Wimbledon and then failed to roll her magic in the hard court US Open.

Meanwhile, Australian Ashleigh Barty remains number one after a week of the Billie Jean Cup, formerly known as the Fed Cup, but the competition’s results do not count toward the rankings system.
