Wrestling World Championship LIVE – Ravinder loses bronze medal match:  Ravinder disappointed on Day 2 as India continued to bite the dust at World Wrestling Championships in Oslo on Sunday. He lost the 61kg freestyle category match that he made it through to the repechage round after beating Georgi Valentinov of Bulgaria. Ravinder stunned defending champion Beka Lomtadze in the quarterfinals before losing to American Daton Fix in the quarterfinals on Saturday. But as Fix made it to the final, He found a way to the bronze medal match. In the repechage round, he beat Bulgaria’s Georgi Valentinov 8-2 by registering a victory by fall to set up a bronze medal match against Armenia’s Arsen Harutyunyan.

Wrestling World Championship LIVE – Ravinder loses bronze medal match:  Amongst others, it was Gourav Baliyan who disappointed the most in 79kg category, losing to Mongolia’s Bat Edene in a completely one-sided affair. He lost 0-10 in technical superiority.

Pankaj Malik won his 57kg qualification round 4-3 after trailing 0-3 but later lost his pre-quarterfinal bout by technical superiority to Turkey’s Suleyman Atli, the reigning European champion and 2019 world silver medallist.

Atli needed only 63 seconds to get to the winning lead as he finished the bout with his quick gut wrench moves.

Rohit won his 65kg qualification round by technical superiority against Sri Lanka’s Divoshan Charles Fernando but later lost his pre-quarterfinal 4-5 to Russia’s Zagir Shakhiev.

Pruthviraj Patil entered straight into 92kg pre-quarterfinals but his challenge lasted only 32 seconds as he lost to Azebaijan’s Osman Nurmagomedov in quick time.

World Wrestling Championship Day 2 Results: Freestyle:

57kg: Pankaj (IND) defeats Metreveli (ESP) 4-3 in qualification round; Pankaj (IND) lost to Suleyman Atli (TUR) via technical superiority 0-10 in pre-quarters.

61kg: Ravinder defeated Georgi Valentinov (BUL) via fall 2- in Repechage.
Arsen HARUTYUNYAN (ARM) defeated Ravinder with technical superiority of 10 -0 in Bronze Medal Match

65kg: Rohit Divoshan (IND) beat Charles Fernand (SRI) via technical superiority 11-0 in qualification round;

Rohit (IND) lost to Zagir SHAKHIEV (RWF) 4-5 in pre-quarters.

79kg: Gourav Baliyan (IND) lost to Bat Erdene (MGL) via TSU 0-10.

92kg: Pruthviraj Patil (IND) lost to Osman Nurmagomedov (AZE) via TSU in pre-quarters.
