Richa Ghosh came in to bat at number four in the fourth over of the innings. She had the primary role of stabilising the innings. By the end of powerplay India’s score read 35/3.
Richa soon took on the responsibility and played an outstanding knock. She started off slowly and took time to settle. The 19-year old played sensibly and scored her fifty after facing 46 deliveries. Soon after reaching the milestone, the youngster shifted gears. She tried to accelerate the scoring. In the next 10 balls that she faced, the teenager went berserk amassing 41 runs in a terrific fashion.

Her unbeaten 91 helped India post 183 on the board. Richa also shared a 92-run stand with Jemimah Rodrgues, who scored 41 off just 27 balls. This knock just ahead of the upcoming WPL auction would help her raise the interest among the teams that are set to bid in a few days time.
Though it is an unofficial game, Richa’s 91 is her highest score in her career so far, while playing for India. The Women in Blue, led by Harmanpreet Singh will begin their campaign in the Women’s World Cup 2023 on 12th February, Sunday. India Women will face ricals Pakistan Women in the opening match.
Meanwhile, the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League is set to feature five teams. A total of 409 cricketers are set to go under the hammer at the auction that is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on February 13, 2023, Monday.
