WPL 2023 Auction: U19 World Cup players likely to fetch biggest bid
Parshavi Chopra (India)
With leg spinners very much in demand in the T20 format, franchises will have their eyes on rising star Parshavi Chopra. The leg spinner was the leading wicket-taker for India at the Under-19 T20 World Cup and the second overall. She was exceptional during the course of the tournament bowling economical spells and also picking wickets. She played a huge role in India’s triumph in the final picking up two wickets and conceding only 13 runs from four overs.
Grace Scrivens(England)
The young all-rounder had a huge part to play in England making the final of the U19 World Cup. Not only did she went on to become the top run-getter of the tournament (295 runs in 7 matches) but also picked up 9 wickets in the tournament. The 19-year-old also picked in the team of the tournament . It will be difficult to ignore such talented youngster but it will be interesting to see which WPL franchisee will try and get her signature.

Maggie Clark(Australia)
Australia were one of the favourites to win the U19 World Cup but they faltered at the semi-final stage. However one player who had everyone take notice of her performance was Maggie Clark. The pacer was a last minute call up to the team but she left a lasting impression in the U19 World Cup with her performance. She finished the tournament as the joint highest wicket taker with 10 wickets to her name. Having the ability to swing the ball both ways WPL teams will not hold themselves back from making the bid.
Shweta Sehrawat (India)
Despite having Shafali Varma and Richa Ghosh in the lineup, Shweta Sehrawat stole the limelight in South Africa with her performance. the opener accounted for 297 runs to her name, with an impressive strike rate of 139.43. She also had three half centuries to her name. Theopenr will be a hot commodity during the WPL auction following her brilliant performances.

Titas Sadhu (India)
This young pacer played an important role in Team India getting wickets in powerplay. The pacer provided early breakthroughs for Girls in Blue in almost every match. She finished the tournament with six wickets with her best performance coming during the final against England. With the teams looking to sign best U19 stars, she might be among the top picks during the auction.
