Gervonta Davis Has Been Taken Into Police Custody

Davis was sentenced to 90 days of home detention and 200 hours of community service earlier this year after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the November 2020 incident. However, he was taken into custody on Thursday following a court hearing, according to a spokesperson for the Baltimore City Sheriff’s Office.

The reason for Davis’ arrest has not been disclosed, but it is likely related to a violation of the terms of his house arrest. Davis has had a history of legal issues, including multiple arrests for assault and battery.

Davis, who is widely regarded as one of the most promising young boxers in the world, has a record of 29 wins and 0 losses, with 27 of his wins coming by way of knockout.

However, his legal troubles have put his career on hold at times, and many boxing fans and experts have expressed concern about his ability to stay out of trouble outside of the ring.

The incident that led to Davis’ house arrest and subsequent arrest involved a hit-and-run accident, in which he allegedly struck a car and fled the scene. Four people were injured in the accident, including a pregnant woman who suffered minor injuries.

Davis’ legal team has not yet commented on his latest arrest, and it is unclear what impact this will have on his boxing career. However, it is clear that the young boxer will need to address his legal issues if he hopes to live up to his potential as a world-class athlete.
