The Bellator MMA x RIZIN 2 bout will air on Showtime in the United States and will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. The programme comes after Super RIZIN 2.

Patricky Freire and Roberto de Souza’s Bellator lightweight Grand Prix quarterfinal fight will serve as the main event. Freire was scheduled to fight A.J. McKee, however, the former was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Patricky has a record of 1-3 in his previous four matches. He won the Bellator lightweight championship in 2021 by defeating Peter Queally, but Usman Nurmagomedov won it back in November 2022.

For the inaugural Bellator flyweight championship, Kyoji Horiguchi and Makoto Shinryu will square off in the co-main event. Horiguchi, a former bantamweight champion in Bellator and Rizin, has been clamouring to fight at 125 pounds again, but Bellator hasn’t had the weight class up until now. The winner of the contest between Horiguchi and Shinryu will go down in MMA history.
This coming Saturday, Bellator x Rizin 2 will take place in Saitama, Japan’s Saitama Super Arena. At 11 p.m. ET on Showtime, the Bellator portion of the card airs.
