Hardik Pandya's life just doesnt seem to get easy. With the Mumbai Indians Cpataincy debacle finally slowing down, another new controvery arises.
The last couple of months has been pretty rough for Hardik Pandya. After being declared the MI captain, replacing Rohit Sharma, Pandya was hit out with rough criticism. While that looked to get better, another new controvery surrounding Pandya has arrived.
Mumbai police have arrested Vaibhav Pandya, the lesser-known stepbrother of cricketers Hardik and Krunal Pandya, for allegedly defrauding them of around Rs 4 million in business.
Vaibhav, 37, reportedly took away roughly Rs 4.3 crore from the joint company, resulting in a loss for Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal. Vaibhav was accused with cheating and forgery.
In 2021, the three brothers established a polymer firm. The business arrangements required Hardik and Krunal to invest 40% apiece, while Vaibhav contributed 20%. However, Vaibhav eventually established another business in the same trade without alerting the Pandya brothers, which violated the agreements.
Pandya's life has been fraught of controversy. In 2019, Hardik Pandya mentioned difficulty on the renowned TV show 'Koffee with Karan'. Hardik made several vulgar statements about women in his life, prompting BCCI to ban him.
Krunal Pandya, Hardik's brother, has also been involved in issues. Krunal Pandya's dispute with Deepak Hooda garnered a lot of attention throughout the domestic season. Hooda had accused Krunal, 'abused' and threatened him.
Krunal Pandya was also halted by customs at the Mumbai airport last year. During this time, undeclared gold and other costly watches were seized from him. Krunal was unable to provide adequate answers to the officers' questions, resulting in a customs tax payment of about 38% of the value of the products.
