Fans in Pune came to watch Virat Kohli bat and perhaps score a century. But they were treated with Virat Kohli returning to bowl in IND vs BAN game after 6 years in ODI cricket. The miracle happened after Hardik Pandya had to be taken off as he suffered an ankle injury while bowling the 9th over. Kohli filled in to bowl the remaining three deliveries in the India vs Bangladesh Cricket World Cup clash.
Virat Kohli last bowled in 2017 against Sri Lanka in Colombo. In fact, he bowled two full overs, going for 12 runs without any success.
The last time he bagged a wicket in ODIs was back in 2014 when he dismissed Brendon McCullum. Kohli bowled 7 overs in that match.
