Virat Kohli is in full swing ahead of India vs West Indies (IND vs WI) multi-format series. The modern India great is practicing hard in the nets these days against seasoned bowlers like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jaydev Unadkat. In a recent nets session, Virat Kohli was also spotted giving tips to youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal.
In a net practice prior to India’s two-Test series against the West Indies, Virat Kohli played an out-of-character reverse sweep against R Ashwin.
Ravindra Jadeja applauded the shot, which he almost never makes in international games. This becomes tougher considering, Kohli had to contend with four different bowling styles back-to-back: a left-arm seam from Jaydev Unadkat, an off-spin from Ashwin, a left-arm spin from Jadeja, and a right-arm pace from a local net bowler.

Virat Kohli record vs West Indies
Two Test matches between India and the West Indies will begin on July 12 in Dominica.
According to his standards, Virat Kohli has a poor record versus the Men in Maroon. He has played 14 Tests and scored 822 runs at an average of 43.26, which ranks second-worst among all opponents he has played.
Additionally, West Indies (35.62) is the nation where he has played at least five Test matches and where his average is second-worst. In any of the last 11 rubbers for India, he hasn’t averaged more than 50.
To start the 2023–25 World Test Championship cycle, the right-hander would like to improve that and establish some consistency.
Virat Kohli smashed half-centuries in both Tests in 2019 (51 and 76, respectively), but was unable to complete the 100.
The former India captain started the four-Test series in 2016 with a stunning 283-ball 200 before faltering and getting 44 (90), 3 (8), and 4 (17) in the next three innings in which India had the opportunity to bat.
