Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones
Jones last competed in 2019, making his final defense of his light heavyweight title before relinquishing it. Bones defeated Dominick Reyes in a contentious unanimous decision. He has been gaining weight for a jump to heavyweight since that bout.
The reigning heavyweight champion, Ngannou, last faced Ciryl Gane in January 2022. To complete his first championship defense, The Predator prevailed. However, a knee injury has kept him out of action ever since.

Although the Jones-Ngannou fight has not yet been confirmed, it seems doubtful that the UFC will blow the chance to strike a contract that would be advantageous to both the business and fight fans.
