Rohit Sharma needs no introduction to punish poor balls especially when he is on form. With a low target to chase, Rohit and Shubman Gill gave the Men in Blue a strong start with both the openers going toe to toe with the likes of Shaheen Adridi and Hasan Ali.
Despite Gill’s early dismissal, Rohit continued his rampage. He slammed 3 fours and 4 sixes to reach his half-century. And in doing so he became the only Indian in the history of the game to slam 300 ODI sixes.
With Gill back, Rohit and Kohli then played beautifully, hitting the Pakistani bowlers all across the ground. Babar Azam did introduce spin early, but Rohit took just 3 balls to decide and then went on the offense to hit the bowler against the spin.

Having freshly scored a century in the previous game against Afghanistan, Rohit was full of confidence, never hesitating to leave a bad ball. He deftly stitched a fifty-run partnership before reaching his half-century.
Rohit Sharma missed his century by just 14 runs. He was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi on 86 from a slow delivery. He wanted to clear the covers but the ball managed to hit the toe end of the bat and gave away a simple catch. Rohit ended his innings with 6 fours and 6 sixes.
