In a League Cup match against Cruz Azil, the Manchester United and England legend witnessed seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi make an early impression for his new employers. In that game, the Argentine legend came off the bench to curl in a 94th-minute free kick to seal a 2-1 victory.
Beckham joined other celebrities in wild celebrations, including Kim Kardashian and LeBron James. Following that, he was caught on video by his former pop star lover singing along to the Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There.”
Inter Miami has made significant investments in Messi, as well as former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. They have every right to rejoice as they draw inspiration from the all-time great. Mostly in a season that has them sitting at the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference.
