India Womens’ cricket team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur pulled off a stunning catch at first slip to dismiss Bangladesh batter Shathi Rani in 2nd T20I in Dhaka.
Defending a mere 96, Team India needed a good start with the ball and all-rounder Deepti Sharma provided just that.

In the 3rd over of the innings, Deepti bowled a tossed up delivery outside off which Shathi Rani tried to dab but failed to keep in along the ground. Kaur, who was stationed at first slip, plucked the catch out of thin air from one hand to get India a big wicket.
Team India takes unassailable 2-0 lead
Despite a disappointing performance with the bat, Indian women’s team managed to pull off a stunning win courtesy of Shafali Verma’s last over heroics where she picked up three wickets.
Needing 10 off the final over, Shafali gave away just one run in 6 balls as Bangladesh team collapsed under pressure and eventually got bowled out for 87 runs. Skipper Nigar Sultana was the top scorer for the hosts with 38 off 55 balls.
Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat first in the 2nd T20I. It was a horror show by the Indian batters as none of the Indian batters managed to cross the 20-run mark. India only managed to score 95/ 8 in 20 overs.
With this win the Women in Blue have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series.
The third and final T20I will be played on Thursday, July 13 in Dhaka.
