India’s tennis veteran Rohan Bopanna has been in the form of his life, lately. Just recently, he won the gold medal at the Asian Games with his mixed doubles partner Rutuja Bhosale, last week, and he is back in business again. For a 43-year-old, Bopanna has been displaying tremendous fitness, by playing almost throughout the year, across the world.
Now, he is back playing men’s doubles at the Shanghai Masters with his Australian partner Matthew Ebden. The pair made it to the quarters of the event on Tuesday after beating Andrey Rublev and Khachanov 4-6, 6-3, 10-8. Prior to that, in the first round, they beat Matwe Middelkoop and Andreas Mies 6-4, 6-3.
A video of that match has surfaced online, where Bopanna is engaged in a rally. The latter is seen running across the court, to make the return and then also produce a winner, which is received by a roar by the crowd.
