When it comes to fame, Indian cricketers are right up there with some of the best in the world of other sports. It would only be fair to say that someone like Virat Kohli is as famous, if not more, as the best tennis and football players. But our cricketers, who are treated as demi-gods here, also get star-struck, upon meeting some of the most famous sportspersons in the world.
Something similar happened with Kohli, and he shared that in a recent interview. In the chat, the former India skipper revealed that he wasn’t starstruck when he met even Roger Federer but was ‘bubbling inside upon seeing Boris Becker at a London restaurant.
“We were in London, I don’t remember the year, but we went to a restaurant to eat food and Boris Becker was standing there and I’m a huge tennis fan. I mean, I’ve met Roger Federer and everyone and I really get inspired by all these guys but because I got to meet Roger through people I wasn’t starstruck. I mean I was really excited obviously, my heart was beating fast,” he said.
What was even more heartening to see, was when Becker came across the clip, he too responded to King Kohli, saying ‘Love U 2’ on his Instagram story. This only shows how much Kohli is loved across the world.
